TO: William Cartwright Jr./Heritage Chairman, CSRTW

Dear Bill,
Because there's so much action going on right now re: 5-STORY HOUSE INVASION,
I have to postpone my reply and answers to your email about "misinformation" and past events between us, painful for both of us.

WE BOTH CERTAINLY MEANT WELL, IN GOOD FAITH AND WERE NOT/N O T, BEING HARSH OR INTENTIONALLY MALEVIOLENT TO EACH OTHER. We were both under enormous stress
from personal AND HEALTH ISSUES.
Let's try to turn a page, Bill, and use fractured strength now for the active hard work that is just exploding in the community with the 5-STOREY
HOUSE INVASION and other issues! Can't we do that, Bill?? I just truly DO NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO CHEW OVER VARIOUS MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND ERRORS OF THE PAST.
I guarantee you: I REGRET EVERYTHING, ANYTHING, THAT CAUSED YOU                PAIN, WHETHER OR NOT I understand it.

I've been in some bad falls during recent months and unable to work up to par--a condition I loathe--but can't control now. I'm on meds, 2 canes and a walker and several schedules of seeing several docs. Because I smoked a pack-a-day for 45 years I have penetrating ulcerations of my aorta and am told I'm a candidate for a stroke. A small device to reduce atrial fib has been installed in my heart. Enough. I've proven my fragile health to you. Enough!

The last 2 weeks I've been heavily working with a remarkable man who is in the frontline of the 5-STOREY HOUSE battle (There seem to be many "FRONTS." It's
newly born vigor has the usual disorder of initiation. Very good people are appearing to join the work constantly.

The fellow  I've been working with wants to connect with the CSRTW CHAIR, YOU.
After this message is sent to you I'll provide him with your contact data.
HIS NAME IS KENNETH WYRICK. Maybe you've met him. He has long roots in Watts but is seasoned in Fine Art AND Technology. He's a fluent writer, educated, 6 foot 4 and Black. He wants to work in our team. Bravo, I say!!
Because I've been agonizing about who is our Towers Curator when I'm not, I quickly realized his value as MY REPLACEMENT. Kenneth is a most unusual person who,  like me, has fought to keep his intellectual freedom, while the
System insists that THE BEST must buckle under a corporate lash. This gives a person a rather rare kind of courage. (Our Curator needs a strong will/ some courage.)
Here are 2 digital references that Kenneth Wyrick asked me to give to you to use if you can find a way to email with him and also to speak in person. His radiant energy (not a defeated person) will help you see his special value for our primary commitment: GUARDIANSHIP OF SABATO RODIA'S Towers in Watts.

      2. http://archive.org/details/@KWyrick
I will let Kenneth know that I've introduced him to you, given him your email
address:   <wmcartwright@gmail.com>  And given his to you:  <KMW@caltek.net>

You two will know how to connect if everybody wishes to do so. Cheers!

In the meantime I've suggested a plan he fully approves: He can work, right now as CSRTW Associate (or Assistant if you prefer) Watts Towers Curator/CSRTW. Which is basically the way I sign. If we lend Kenneth Wyrick this power to communicate with curatorial presence HE WILL NOT WASTE IT OR
HARM IT, I am certain. If I were to design the right person to take over my job (the hardest part of which is the necessary unfazed confrontation with city officials (as in the past, maybe now ended) my designed person would closely resemble Ken Wyrick.
I hope both you men will have good news to send me pretty soon.

Bill, I will close with a formulation of the future Motion I'll make when we have the time and ways/means for a Board meeting.
MOTION: The Board welcomes and approves Kenneth Wyrick's wish for Board Membership in The Committee for Sabato Rodia's Towers in Watts as: "Kenneth Wyrick, Associate Curator, Rodia's Towers in Watts/CSRTW."

I will work with Kenneth as closely as I can, as long as I can, to help his transition into a Watts Towers Guardian.

Bill, I hope, so strongly, that I'll get your email approving these new plans. Everything in Watts is moving SO FAST--AND WATCH IT MOVE WHEN WE ENTER THE
FACT THAT THE 5-storey House Invader is breaching a CSRTW LEGAL CONTRACT WITH CITY AND STATE WHICH REQUIRED THE CITY TO SEEK THE APPROVAL OF CSRTW BOARD, WHEN THE CITY SOLD PROPERTY CONTINGENT TO WATTS TOWERS TO A PRIVATE OWNER WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF the CSRTW BOARD! (A Breach of Contract.)

Now we must find a vigorous pro bono law firm to examine our contracts before we go public with our "legal bombshell."

Bill, Graham Ave. is the corridor for all the Towers visitors walking South from the Blue Line, for all the taxis from the Airport, for all the big staff at WTAC and the Mingus, for the big Tour Buses, for 90% of the car traffic and 100% of visitors who come from the Harbor Freeway, which is most of them.
When Towers are being exhibited we have 1,000 visitors per month. Ask ROSIE!
What shall we term the destruction of public access to the Watts Towers Block?
"Savage invasion by the 5-STOREY CONDOS" (WANNA BET THEY ARE PLANNING CONDOS?)

I hope I've included everything needed for the historic meeting of
                    "CARTWRIGHT AND WYRICK"
Do send me your news of "the Haps" you are about to create.
Cheers!
